Family Cookie Making: The Adventure Begins ๐ช
It was a calm evening, ๐ we had just finished dinner. Simba and I were warming up on two chairs in front of the wood stove ๐ฅ (you know, our favorite pastime) when Giulia entered the kitchen with a recipe book ๐ and said, “Today we’re making cookies!” Our ears immediately perked up. “Cookies? This sounds really promising!” I thought.
Davide pulled out the Bimby, a kind of magical robot that blends, kneads, and… makes noise! ๐ค Curious as always, Simba stuck his nose in the bowl, thinking the cookies were already ready! ๐น “Simba, you need to be a bit patient,” I meowed, “good things come to those who wait.” He then ran off ๐โโ๏ธ, while I settled on the table to observe better ๐ง.

The Magical Ingredients for Perfect Cookies ๐ฅฃ

Giulia and Davide lined up the ingredients like little soldiers, looking like a small and delicious army! I was ready to protect all these goodies from that glutton Simba, so I stood at attention to ensure they weren’t plundered. ๐ฑ
Hereโs what you need to make these delicious cookies:
- 225 g of all-purpose flour.
- 100 g of butter ๐ง
- 60 g of brown sugar
- 60 g of granulated sugar
- 150 g of chocolate chips ๐ซ
- 1 egg, preferably from Cesarina ๐ฅ
- 1 packet of baking powder
- A pinch of salt ๐ง
- A pinch of baking soda
NB: Instead of all-purpose flour, we used gluten-free pastry flour so our celiac friends can enjoy them too. ๐
Making the Cookies ๐ช
Using the Bimby makes everything much easier, but don’t worry if you don’t have one; you can still make excellent cookies, I’m sure of it. ๐ช
Adding the Ingredients
First of all, Davide and Giulia placed all the ingredients into the Bimby bowl, except for the chocolate chips. ๐ซ Davide set the machine to 2 minutes and dough speed, pressed a button, and… BRRRRR! What a noise! Simba jumped, ๐พ while I hid behind the water bowl. Giulia laughed: “Micina, Simba, keep calm! It’s just the Bimby working!” ๐
The Chocolate Chips
Then came the most tempting part: Giulia poured the chocolate chips into the dough. Simba jumped onto the table so quickly that I couldn’t stop him in time. He wanted to taste them! ๐ซ Fortunately, Davide promptly stopped him and said, “Simba, these are for the cookies! I’ll give you a treat later.” Simba pretended not to care, but I saw him giving a very interested look… I have to admit, I wanted to taste them too, but I was too curious about the final result to give in.
Once I overcame my fear of the Bimby, I pressed the button on the screen with my paw ๐พ to mix the chocolate chips: 30 seconds at dough speed. I must say it did an excellent job, and I was already ready to put my paws into the dough and start kneading like only us cats know how, purring at full volume! ๐พ๐ช
Preparing the Baking Sheets
We prepared two baking sheets, lining them with parchment paper so the cookies wouldn’t stick.Forming the Cookies
Giulia and Davide then took pieces of dough with their hands and started making balls, then slightly flattened them. I stayed next to Giulia, while Simba followed Davide, doing a great teamwork job. ๐ We hoped a piece would fall… but nothing, they were too careful!Into the Oven!๐ช
After placing the cookies on the baking sheets, we baked them in a static oven at 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) for about 15-20 minutes. The delightful smell that spread through the house was irresistible! Simba and I were circling around the oven like two detectives. ๐ “Do they look ready?” I asked. But Giulia said, “Micina, be patient just a little longer, we’re almost there!”. โณ
The Triumph Moment: Taking Out the Cookies ๐ช
When the cookies were ready, Giulia and Davide took them out of the oven.

They were golden and fragrant!
“They look like chocolate clouds!” I thought.
Of course, we can’t eat them because sweets are not good for kittens, but we were still rewarded with some special treats. They were catnip-flavored! ๐ฟ
Once they were completely cooled, Davide and Giulia sat at the table with a nice cup of tea โ, the cookies, and big smiles. Simba and I watched them, satisfied with our help. Yes, even if we didn’t do much, we were great inspirations and made sure everything was done correctly! ๐

Micina’s Advice ๐ฑ
If you want to try making these cookies, remember to involve the whole family and maybe even your furry friends! ๐พ We cats can’t eat them, but we can make every moment more fun. And don’t forget to save some for the next day (if you can resist! ๐น).
Who knows, maybe one day we’ll invent special cookies just for kittens! In the meantime, enjoy making cookies with your two-legged or four-legged friends and let me know if you liked them!
See you soon, with love and lots of purrs,
